Terre des hommes is the largest Swiss child relief organization. In 2021, 5.1 million children and members of their communities were supported. Terre des hommes is active in 30 countries.
60 years after its creation, the Foundation’s mission remains unchanged. Our programs in protection, health and emergency aid are still the spearhead of our actions on the field:
Humanitarian Aid
Protection
Children's Health
Innovation
In 1962, the sale of oranges took place for the first time. The sale of oranges is today a national action.
Since then, every year in March, the traditional sale of oranges takes place throughout Switzerland. The donations collected during the sale are in favour of our health, protection and emergency programs.
Thanks to the support of companies, partners and donors, we are able to help millions of children and their families and considerably increase their quality of life in the long term.
As of today, many events still continue to impede the children’s rights around the world. The famine in the Sahel area, increased insecurity and political instability linked to the coup in Myanmar, and the consequences of climate change particularly affect vulnerable populations. Terre des hommes is present in these regions to ensure health and security, but also to bring some joy and lightness to the lives of children.
In 2023, helping has never been so easy. Play a game of Memory and find as many pairs of oranges as possible in the imparted time. At the end of your collection, you can use your basket of oranges to help the children. All the donations go to Terre des hommes’ health, emergency and protection projects.
By playing the game, you can take part in the Terre des hommes raffle and you may have the chance to win a prize offered by one of the 2023 orange action official partners. The draw will take place at the end of the orange harvest, on March 31st. We will contact you by email if you are one of the winners!
